AURORA LOST IN SPACE ROBOT

This is a customized Polar Lights reissue of the original Lost in Space Robot model issed by Aurora in 1968.

 The accordian style arms were modified from their extended position and the claws accurately angled.  A more accurate ribbed tube replaces the original conical shaped piece which connects the bubble to the top of the collar.  Graphics and non-functional lights were added to the triangular "brain" inside the Robots clear plastic bubble.  Each of the rectangular and round chest lights is painted the correct color using metallic acrylic paint.

Polar Lights Lost in Space Robot is customized with blinking LEDs and Fiber Optics.  Chest light blinks orange to simulate the voice box of the Robot in the series.  There are fiber optics in the 2 large and 12 small round lights in the chest plate.  These flash in a random pattern,  Each fiber optic strand is tinted in colors accurate to the full sized Robot. 3 fiber optics are placed on top of the "brain" piece inside the bubble and flash randomly. The series of square chest plate buttons are painted in transparent acrylics over a silver base coat.

"WAR OF THE ROBOTS" DIORAMA

This custom diorama is based on the season 1 episode "War Of The Robots".  The Lost in Space robot is the one shown above.  Robby was supplied by the customer.  A stained wood base was topped with sand, rocks and artificial foliage.  The "laser beam" was made from a length of lucite rod painted with transparent enamal.   A gold painted plastic nameplate was made with the episode title and number, original airdate and production number as requested by the client.
