This is the Polar Lights reissue of the Robinson Family & Chariot
model released by Aurora in 1966. The model is based on characters from Irwin Allen's Lost In Space television
series (1965 - 1968).
The
figures were modified with styrene strip and epoxy putty and painted to portray the Robinson Family in their 2nd
season outfits. The Chariot was given extra details and aftermarket graphics. Finally, tread marks were drybrushed
on the ground behind the Chariot to add realism to the scene.
The Robinson figures and Giant are attached to the base using brass wire or aluminum pins, Figures
are removeable to ensure safe shipping.
This
piece is available with figures in silver spacesuits or the colorful 1st, 2nd or 3rd season outfits.
