AURORA FIGURE RESTORATION This is subject of one of our full resoration projects. This original Aurora Mummy was sent to us by one of our clients. The first few shots show the model as it was when it arrived. It was then disassembled. The next several photos will show the paint being stripped, the model puttied and sanded to remove all of the seams and then primed . Finally, it will be completely repainted and reassembled. This is a work in progress, so please stop back often to see how our project is coming along. If you have a similar project, please Email us at the link below az6603@aol.com

After the paint was stripped, the model was reassembled. Several applications of filler putty were sanded to eliminate all seam lines
The base was then repainted in several shades of brown, grey and white. Washes ,drybrushing and sponging techniques were used to bring out the details. The cobra was also stripped and repainted and attached to the base. Epoxy putty was used to reinforce some of the pieces from the bottom
The figure has been stripped and reassembled. The seams have been eliminated and the figure has been primed for its new paint job. Note the right arm , left hand and the hanging bandages have been removed until the painting is complete. They will be replaced later
The figure was painted in a basecoat of dark grey. It was then drybrushed in a lighter shade of brown and then off white mixed with light grey. Lighter shades will be added next
